The document is assembled in your browser, so the text never leaves your device.

Note: this tool generates a model (template) privacy policy and does not constitute legal advice. For specific kinds of data processing (health data, minors, video surveillance…), consult a lawyer or a data protection officer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does my website have to have a privacy policy?

Yes, in practice almost always. As soon as a website collects any personal data (an email through a contact form, IP addresses through analytics or cookies), Serbia's Personal Data Protection Act (ZZPL) and the GDPR in the EU require you to clearly tell visitors who collects the data, what data, why, and what their rights are. A privacy policy is the standard way to meet that obligation.

How do I create a privacy policy for my website?

Fill in the form in this tool: enter the website name and address, choose who the data controller is (an individual or a company), then turn on the options your site actually uses: contact forms, a newsletter, Google Analytics, ads… The document builds live and contains only the clauses that apply to your site. Finally, copy the HTML or text and paste it on your “Privacy Policy” page.

What do GDPR and ZZPL mean?

The GDPR is the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, and the ZZPL is the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of Serbia, whose content is aligned with the GDPR. Both guarantee the same basic rights: access, rectification, erasure, data portability and objection. The tool automatically adapts the text to the selected jurisdiction.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The whole document is assembled in your browser (JavaScript), so names, addresses and policy content are never sent to our server or stored anywhere. The only thing the server records is an anonymous counter of remaining exports.

Is a privacy policy generated this way legally valid?

The tool generates a solid model based on standard GDPR and ZZPL provisions, and for most business websites, blogs and small online stores it is a good foundation. It is not legal advice, though: if you process sensitive data (health data, children's data, video surveillance) or have complex processing, the text should be reviewed by a lawyer.

Is the tool free, and how many documents can I create?

Yes, the tool is 100% free. Guests can export one document a day, and a free account gives you up to 10 exports a day. You can export as HTML (to paste into WordPress or another CMS), plain text or a TXT file.
